Pretty much all banks these days use chexsystems, but some banks are much more lenient than others. There is a list of banks that are easier to get checking accounts, as well as other alternatives such as direct deposit VISA and Mastercards that come with a routing number and checking account number.

Answer2:If you can tell us what part of the country you are in, we can help you find a bank that will get around Chex Systems. here in Missouri, Chex is used by most banks, but just about every major bank (Bank Midwest, US Bank, Great Southern, Bancorp South, etc..) offer Second Chance accounts which means you can either get free or minimal cost checking accounts even with a Chex record. My advice is to call around to banks and inquire about second chance bank accounts. You might be surprised who can help you.
