Do you find yourself hating people with huge personal debts

I live within my means. Always have done. When I earned 20k a year, I lived on 20k, now I earn more, I live on moreDoes it annoy you all the idiots in this country who think its their birth right to have nice holidays, clothes and cars paid for on credit cards, because they dont earn enough to support their lifestyle?I have savings, now getting low int. rates because of these idiots, and am worried the money will be worthless in a few years once the effects of hyper inflation kick in
Answer1:You have to bear in mind that many people simply arent equipped to understand modern finance. Things like APR, credit card debt and household budgeting simply arent taught, and are a mystery to many people. Not everyone is as intelligent or canny as you.
Answer2:No it doesnt annoy me because life isnt always as black and white as you make it out to be. Yes people get into debt because they shop too much and want the latest this that and the other. However, a lot of people get into debt simply trying to house, clothe and feed themselves and their family. It is a sliding slope and I really feel for people who are in debt as its a constant weight they have to live with and it takes a long time to dig themselves out. Also "hating" a group of people who really have no substance is a complete waste of energy. Focus on making the right decisions in your life and what you get up to instead of hating others and you wont go wrong.
Answer3:By putting 0 down and doing interest only loans with adjustable rates they have RUINED our economy,.I would like to see these idiots not leasing Lexuss and financing 5,000 bedrooms sets.Their day has come. They will suffer for the mess they have caused.Mabye now stores will stop financing everything from dogs to $200 furniture./
Answer4:Relax, relax. It is the government that dictates wealth. What you are witnessing in recent news accounts is mere window dressing. They will shuffle a few folks up and down the social strata, but believe you me, the people that do belong in jail wont be going any time soon.
Answer5:I think your answer is somewhat narrow minded. I am in debt, but not through lack of trying. I hold down 1 f/t job and have 5 part time jobs. I havent been on holiday in 7 years, dont buy clothes unless the ones on my back are falling off. My only luxury is going out on a sunday morning which costs me £2. My husband isnt well enough to work, but this country does recognise mental health illness seriously and so his condition doesnt qualify for any support. Some people in this county do respect themselves and try incredibly hard, not to be in debt. Try living someone elses lifestyle before berrating them and pideon holing everyone into being idiots.
Answer6:I know what you mean - I have a couple of hundred pounds on a credit card and Im desperately trying to pay it off. These idiots with a dozen cards and a balance of £30-40k just from buying clothes and having an extravagant lifestyle really p**s me off. Then they go to a debt management company and say oh dear i cant pay this back and they get their debts written off!!
Answer7:I dont blame them too much because people are sheep and it is (or was) part of the culture. I blame the elite idiots who got us into this mess for their own personal gain. When youre bombarded with media idiocy telling you that average house prices of £200K+ are a good thing, and of course someone on the average UK salary (20K) should be lent 10 times their income to buy a 200K house, then you can see where this nonsense comes from. The fact that the same house 10 years ago cost only 50K, and will probably cost 50K again in 10 years time, is irrelevant. And then there were all those adverts for loans, credit cards etc. Why was this stuff even allowed to be broadcast or printed? You cant run an advert saying "take up heroin" or "drink 20 pints every day" after all, because people are actually influenced by this stuff. And we have a situation where the cost of living (not least housing) has significantly increased, so that a lifestyle that was possible on say a librarians or nurses income 20-30 years ago, isnt possible for a librarian or nurse in the year 2009 without getting into tons of debt.
Answer8:You should never hate, unless maybe someone did harm to you or to a family member. Everyone thinks differently than you do. Some have no concept about money, especially in this country where up til the past year and a half, with the recession, we were brainwashed to think credit was the American way. We have never been a savings nation. We have been told spending(the consumer) is 70% of the Gross National Product, and now no one is spending, hence the downturn. These "idiots" are now in serious trouble for their lavish spending, and many will go bankrupt. You will not. But you may be doing yourself a disservice by putting all your eggs(money) in one basket in a bank paying you 1/2% interest. Now may be the time to take part of it and invest into a good dividend paying stock, one that will not be cutting its dividend, such as AT&T or Verizon, or a dividend fund for example. You need to look out for you and not worry about the next guy, as he will be doing whatever he chooses to do, and there is nothing you can do to stop it. You are responsible for you only. Change your thinking, think positive, and smile. If not, maybe you are the "idiot".
Answer9:You shouldnt feel this way. Some people are in debt due to circumstances they cant control. Two friends of mine were hit by a drunk driver and sustained many injuries. They couldnt work and had no disability insurance. Even though they have health insurance they had no money to pay bills. They have great debt now even years later from this
Answer10:i dont think you are realizing the point why people are in so much debt, what with credit cards and finance. If someone on a basic salary of say 12k are offered a credit card with £1000 straight up they are going to jump at it (not realizing they are one day going to have to pay it back), because for now it is just going to give them a bit of ease financially. Plus alot of these debts are from youngsters just growing up in the world, learning from life like we all have. The problem is the banks, just giving money to any willy nilly. There was a Program on the other day, a bank had just been bailed out (BY US) with £40 million and they very same day a student we into this bank and walked out with £5k, £1,500 that day and the rest after 24hrs, just absolutely ridiculous

What would actually happen if someone got a hold of your social security number

Ive heard that its bad, but what actually happens? What can someone do with the SSN of another person?
Answer1:The SSN by itself is bad, but not nearly as bad as if its in conjunction with other identifiable information like name, address, telephone number, mothers maiden name, etc. The problem is that the SSN is the hardest one to obtain, and the other stuff is easy. If they get all this information together they have enough information to apply for credit cards in your name, get information about you from your bank (like account numbers), pull your credit report and see who you have loans through, etc. Once your identity has been stolen, thieves will commonly sell your information to other people, so the fraud can go on for years. Its not any fun. My husbands info got stolen a few years ago and we had a couple of years where we never knew if our money would actually be in our accounts or if it had been compromised and stolen.

What to do with EE Series savings bonds

I have a small sum of money in EE Series savings bonds bought in 1990 I was wondering would it be wise to cash them in and transfer to a CD or just leave them and let them earn interest that way?
Answer1:Depending on the interest rate your bonds are earning; if they are earning more than what a CD can give you, you should leave the bonds alone.Further, the interest earned is tax deferred, so you do not have to report the interest until the year you cash them. Further, there is no State Tax levied on that interest. In contrast, a CD means you have to report the yearly interest even if you have not or can not pull it out of the CD.

What banks are no chex systems

Pretty much all banks these days use chexsystems, but some banks are much more lenient than others. There is a list of banks that are easier to get checking accounts, as well as other alternatives such as direct deposit VISA and Mastercards that come with a routing number and checking account number.
Answer1:I am pretty sure its visa and master card I could be wrong but I think thats who are.
Answer2:If you can tell us what part of the country you are in, we can help you find a bank that will get around Chex Systems. here in Missouri, Chex is used by most banks, but just about every major bank (Bank Midwest, US Bank, Great Southern, Bancorp South, etc..) offer Second Chance accounts which means you can either get free or minimal cost checking accounts even with a Chex record. My advice is to call around to banks and inquire about second chance bank accounts. You might be surprised who can help you.
Answer3:Just type in your state then put chex systems

How can i raise my credit score

We have a few things bad on our credit, how do we figure out what to pay off first. We need to raise our scores by about 100 points. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you
Answer1:get a credit card/gas card, use it once or twice a month and pay it off completely every month..everything counts
Answer2:Pay all bills on time, its the only way. Sounds so easy, huh? Wish I could do it.
Answer3:Definitely pay all of your bills on time - on-time payments are 35% of your score. 30% of your score is your debt-to-credit ratio, which is just how high your balances are compared to your credit limits, across all accounts. Since its across all accounts, it wont matter what you pay off first, as long as youre paying something off, and improving that ratio. Since it doesnt matter, pay off whatever has the highest interest rate first - that will give you more money in the long term, which will help you pay off the other stuff faster, which will improve your score faster! If you have a credit card that youve been really good about (never made a late payment or anything), you can try calling them and asking them to increase your credit limit. This would improve that debt-to-credit ratio, but theyll probably only agree to it if youve been an exceptionally good customer.

How often can you file bankruptcy

ever 7 years
Answer1:I believe it is 8 years now for chapter 7. You can do a chapter 13 earlier, which leaves you with little after payments. You shouldnt make a habit of it.
Answer2:If you have filed already for a chapter 7, its 8 years from the discharge date. You can view more bk information at their offical website...www.usbankruptcy.gov It will give you all the information you need pertaining to what chapters and how long, and the new laws and what they require. Good Luck!

I am almost forty and never really learned how to handle my finances well, how can I improve this and get

better at this
Answer1:Start by reading this book: "Personal Finance For Dummies." Its excellent.
Answer2:If you have a junior college nearby, many offer adult ed classes in in the evening on personal finance. These can help a lot.
Answer3:Do you have anyone close to you (parents, friends, or co-workers) that you feel does handle their finances well? If you do, Im sure they would consider it a huge compliment if you ask them what their secret to success is. You can read a book or attend a class, but I believe there is no better way to find out about any topic than from learning through someone you trust and that you have actually seen succeed in that area. (BTW, its FREE!) Another resource people tend to forget is their banker...and again, its FREE. If you have a bank account, make an appointment with the banks account representative or financial specialist (most banks have one). They will usually pull your credit report, explain to you the positive and negative parts of it, and how to maintain a good credit score. Also, they can direct you on tips on creating a budget, maintaining your budget, saving for your retirement (and on the off chance you dont know how--how to maintain a checkbook register and balance it monthly). Finally, if you are under a certain income bracket (usually under 30K with children) or even if you are a minority there are many free resources in your area to help with finances. Our economy is kind of in the trash right now, and there are many non-profit agencies offering seminars to lower-income individuals and families to help them make it through this hard time. If you know of any agencies in your area, dont be afraid to call them up and ask them if they offer any free seminars on how to handle finances.Use the free resources before spending money on those you arent even sure will help you in the way that you need.
Answer4:1, Start getting your financial knowledge base together by building your personal finance library. Read personal finance books by the following authors: David Bach, Dave Ramsey, Suze Orman.2. Figure out your net worth. Add up all your assets and subtract from that your liabilities. http://cgi.money.cnn.com/tools/networth/...3. Develop a plan for getting out of debt and living within your means. If you have any credit card or personal loan debt you are living beyond your means. Use the "Snowball Method" for getting out of debt. List all debts in ascending order from smallest balance to largest. This is the methods most distinctive feature, in that the order is determined by amount owed, not the rate of interest charged. However, if two debts are very close in amount owed, then the debt with the higher interest rate would be moved above in the list.Commit to pay the minimum payment on every debt.Determine how much extra can be applied towards the smallest debt.Pay the minimum payment plus the extra amount towards that smallest debt until it is paid off.Note that some lenders will apply extra amounts towards the next payment; in order for the method to work the lenders need to be contacted and told that extra payments are to go directly toward principal reduction.Once a debt is paid in full, add the old minimum payment (plus any extra amount available) from the first debt to the minimum payment on the second smallest debt, and apply the new sum to repaying the second smallest debt.Repeat until all debts are paid in full.4. Develop Zero Based Budget. A zero-based budget is one where your total income minus your total expenses equals $0. In other words, it forces you to assign every dollar of income to an expense (or savings) category. As Dave Ramsey puts it, you’ll be “spending your month’s income on paper” before you spend it in real life.Go to the following web site for more information on how to set up your budget:http://www.gettingfinancesdone.com/blog/...Remember, a credit card is a thirty day loan. If you cant pay the loan back within 30 days, you are living beyond your means.5. Set aside an emergency fund with at least six months worth of expense.6. Set up a savings accounts for various planned expenses: Christmas account, Birthday/Special Occasion account, kids expenses account etc...7. Contribute to your retirement account. Max out your contributions to your 401K. If you dont have a retirement plan through your job, open up an IRA or a Roth IRA.8. Consider building your asset base. Look into buying a home, if you dont already have one.9. Begin investing in mutual funds. http://www.thesimpledollar.com/2007/11/3...

What happened to putting down a deposit for something you intend to buy , if you couldn39;t afford a deposit for

a new car , television etc then it is obvious you couldnt pay the full price , in my own simple way of thinking has this free credit nothing to pay for 20 years help cause some of the financial trouble we are now in ? .
Answer1:Yes. The old "layaway" concept largely vanished as retailers and lenders offered easy "buy it now" credit.
Answer2:When I see those kinds of deals with no interest for 2 years, I get offended. Why would I want to go into debt to buy a bunch of overpriced junk that I dont need. Although layaway is better than using credit and having an interest rate, it still involves the same mentality. (Nowadays, by the time youd pay an item off--for example an HDTV--youll be getting last years model which either has fewer features or costs more than this years.) Whether it was back then or now, you can still open a bank account and save money. Otherwise its that I cant save up money mentality; I need to be making payments. Basically, I think layaway paved the way for these "free" credit deals.

Can employer see my bank account balance ,if he had my account and routing number

No.Many employers (including mine) offer direct deposit of paychecks and need this information in order to direct deposit your paycheck. They cannot see or find out your bank account balance.
Answer1:Your employer need the account number to be able to transfer your pay check to your account. The routing number is required for the bank, to technically perform the money transaction. He cannot "see" or "act" in your bank account.

How can I save money

I am currently in debt 10 K. 7000 is from my student loan,1500 is from the lap top I needed for school,1500 is miscellaneous debt on credit cards. I will be done school in 5 months and will attain a full time job and will be able to pay down this debt. But until then I need help trying to save money.I love to shop, eat out, go to movies and just spend recklessly. Any suggestions on how to stop spending to inappropriately.
Answer1:I cant help you not spend money, but this is a great way to make extra money if youre interested:http://makeextracash.tk/Basically what you do is take 2-5 minute surveys and offers. Totally free no credit card needed, no social security, no personal information. There are members that make anywhere from $20 a month to $2000. Ive been paid seven times already. Check is guaranteed to come every month.
Answer2:Dont carry your debit/credit card around with you. Write down your daily expenses and check your statements to see how much you are spending on things. Always make lunch at home and take it to work/school instead of eating out (thats a huuuge one when you add it up for every day of the month). And whenever youre bored and thinking of what to do, hang out at a friends house, go running/biking, or find something to do that doesnt involve spending money.
Answer3:I have one account with my bank that I cannot access with any card of mine. (only by going online or into a bank making it harder to get access too if I wanted to spend it randomly)Every time I get any money I deposit a certain amount into that account and forget about it. I then take another specific amount of money (generally around 100$) in CASH and thats my spending money for stupid things I want to do such as movies, or buying a coffee at starbucks. My credit cards and debit cards I only keep on me for bigger things like grocery shopping or gas for the car or emergencies. This lets me:1) SAVE money in that account2) limit my reckless spending money by ONLY have that certain cash amount3) Be more responsible with my money
Answer4:Give yourself a six-month moratorium on spending. Make it a game, and see how low you can get your expenses. Keep a budget book, so you can see where your money is going, and how you can cut it.Come up with creative alternatives to going out and going to movies. Like, have a V-Day movie night with rented videos, homemade popcorn, and lots of friends! Or St. Patricks Day can be all about listening to various Irish music CDs and learning to clog. You can turn your own beer green, too (-:.Whatever you do, try and get that credit card debt paid off before you even start work. Thats just dangerous. I would even get a part-time job, just to get that paid down. After all, you dont know for sure theres a job waiting for you after you graduate. If worst comes to worst, you might be able to make a little money writing a magazine article about your experiences during your Thrifty Six Months. (-: Or even get a book out of it. Just be sure and keep a diary, and keep a strict accounting of how much you earn and how much you spend. And remember, this self-induced deprivation is only for a little while; six months is nothing in the grand scheme of things.Good luck!
Answer5:I was also very intense like you previous days, and i started searching online to make some money but i was not having very good results then after a struggle of a week i reached a place,it was amazingly satisfying my needs of daily spendments and i was making more then 5000$/month @ http://classifiedo.com/livejobs.html for free without any investment and i know how it feels to have 5687$ in hands.(So, Good luck and have nice earnings there)

How can i get a good paying job at 14

Well, Im 14, and i just need some extra money, mainly to help pay some of our overwhelming bills, but also to have some spare cash, maybe. Any suggestions?
Answer1:if youre interested, you can do surveys online for extra money, I know a good site thats free to join and for age 13 and up check my blog for info and Proof of Paymentshttp://extracash.weebly.com/
Answer2:You wont land a job with a company so need to freelance. Make up fliers offering your services. Make sure your parents approve and perhaps have a parent as a working partner. You can babysit, mow lawns, tutor, pet sit, house sit, weed flower beds, wash windows. If you want to do something even harder like cleaning gutters make sure you have insurance and a parent to hold the ladder and try not to get hurt. Your parents need to approve your work so you are safe from bad people and dangerous actions.

Will Cablevision Discount my service if I threaten to Cancel

I transfered over to Cablevision in November and always pay my bills on time. I have the triple play, and in this rough economy was looking to skim a little money off my bill. I know a lot of times when you threaten to cancel they will offer discounts. Does anyone know if this will work? Am I too recent of a customer or will they offer me something? Thank You
Answer1:The triple play is the the best plan u can get. Do u really think they will go under $95 for three services..... I dont think so besides u have only been a customer for a few months u are not valuable enuff

Crisis loan for an unexpected bill

My toilet broke soon after i moved into my council property i complained to the council but it took them quite a while to sort it out as they didnt deem it an emergency. Ive just recieved my water bill and it is astronomical nearly triple what is usually is would the job center give me a crisis loan to help me out because the water company will only accept a payment scheme of two or three lump sums. Thanks
Answer1:You may be able to get a bbudgeting load but it is not a crisis.
Answer2:I would contact the water company first and see if they can do a payment plan first.Failing that, no you wouldnt get a crisis loan, but you would be able to apply for a budgeting loan, that can take about 2-3 weeks to process. I think the max you can get is £1500 but it depends on your income.
Answer3:Keep pestering the council until they recompensate you.
Answer4:Sorry to hear about your toilet - thanks for the story, but how is that do with your water bill? Are you saying the toilet leaked?Crisis loans can be arranged only if you are already in receipt of benefits, so go down the office and see what they say.
Answer5:Your responsible for your property. Why should you get a crisis loan from a job centre. What measures did you take between discovering the breakage and the council fixing it.Your lucky the council fixed it and you didnt have to pay for it yourself.
Answer6:yes, but all water companies do theuir own scheme for this sort of thing...see if they can offer you more help with the bill.

How do I claim my utility bills

How do I claim water, hydro and natural gas costs?
Answer1:You cant. These are personal expenses, not tax deductible.
Answer2:Thats easy, the hard part is getting someone else to claim them-----and pay them.

I have a question about bankruptcy

i just got discharged from filing chapter 7...im still waiting for the foreclosure process on my home. i just got my taxes done and was able to get a return...would it be illegal if i tried to save my home now? since i filed bankruptcy? and the foreclosure is not complete?
Answer1:Hey girl...Call the attorney to see if you can amend the bankruptcy. I would need more information...Did you sign a re affirmation agreement to keep paying on the loan....In a chapter 7, if you chose to re affirm on the loan, you would have had to have been current on the loan. If you included it in the bankruptcy, you may still be able to amend it, but you would still have to be up to date on payments. Call your attorney and get more information on this. You may still be able to do something before its too late. Good Luck!!

What39;s better ING or CD account--5 year

i want to put 1000 into an account for 5 years. i dont need the money now; its for my 1 year old son when he gets older
Answer1:I personally prefer ING because you can add to it (set up the account that it pulls like $25 bi-weekly from your checking account and it really starts to add up, especially because you probably dont check the ING account regularly) and CD rates SUCK right now (the highest Ive seen is like 3.75%).
Answer2:If you read the answers to your earlier question about the same thing you would see that this has already been answered for you...

How do i stop a credit card company from sending me a another card if i told them i found mine

Too late. Once you make the report, your old card is cancelled.
Answer1:Right, being employed for a credit card company myself, once it is reported lost or stolen there is absolutely no way to keep that number. I would just suggest giving them a call and seeing if they can expedite your new credit card number.

Are those Government grants legit and why do you have to pay for the software

I was Curious about those government grants but why do you have to pay for the shipping it should be a yes or no answer. I just wanted to know are they legit is it for real, has anyone got one and if so which is better then the others. I am not trying to get the easy way out I am deeply hurting in debt and I dont want to mess up my credit i cant find a job around my childrens schedule I dont know what else to do. Can anyone help with idea.
Answer1:Those ads are just scams. While it is true that the government does give away grant money, it almost NEVER gives money to individuals (except for Pell Grants for college). There are no grants to individuals to pay bills, pay debt or for just about anything else.www.grants.gov
      Answer2:Its a scam
Answer3:Those programs are scams. There are some programs that help out low income people. Usually through the state. Look up state housing programs for rent subsidies, and check with the food bank if you are not able to buy food. Some counties have low cost day care for when you are working. Look through the government listings in your phone book or search online. They wont pay off your bedts but there are programs to help you.You should never send money in order to get free money.

I want to start a mponey market account with my bank (Navy Federal) what is a money market account

How will it benefit me if I start one?
Answer1:Boy, their advertising department got to you, didnt they?A money market account is a special savings account where you can deposit money, and it will earn a guaranteed interest rate for a set time period. However, you have to leave the money in the account for that time, or you forfeit the interest rate, and may pay a penalty as well for early withdrawal. Your benefit is that the money is guaranteed safe, and it will earn an interest rate higher than what a regular savings account will. Your downside is that you cant touch it without penalty for the time period specified, and you forgo the opportunity to put it somewhere else, where it may make more money for you. But thats what the bank is doing - investing it somewhere else, and hopefully making a profit for themselves.
Answer2:NOT TRUE. - what he describes is a CD.A money market account looks like a regular savings account. There may be a requirement for a minimum deposit, but there are no time limits. It is usually held by an investment firm (of the bank) and is not covered under the FDIC. It usually pays a much higher interest rate than a regular bank savings account and varies month to month based on the prime rate. U can withdraw at any time and there is usually a min amount for a withdrawal. Checks are also issued to make withdrawals. If u have $5000 or more in a regular account think about converting some to a MM account. When ur regular account gets low, just transfer some from MM to it, or pay large bills from it.

How long do I need to keep my bank statements for

Do I need to keep them at all ?Thank you.
Answer1:If youre an individual, three years is probably good enough. Thats how long the IRS recommends. The statements actually dont do a lot of good in an audit situation anyway. Its the receipts you need to hang onto. So whether you want to keep the statements is up to you.

I owe money, need advice

Im a student and I owe quite a bit of money. Its really getting stupid now how this has escalated. I know its not something you should do but can I open another student account? I had an overdraft of £500 and thats gone so should I ask them to extend it?? would they?
Answer1:If you are struggling to pay what you have now I would not borrow anymore. Try and get a part time job or something and earn the money so you can pay your debt back and have money to spend that you need.
Answer2:It should not affect your credit score if you approach your creditors and ask them to revise your payment for a while, you need to check that they will not be registering the note on file first though.Without knowing your personal income/expenditure it would impossible to give you a valuable judgement as to whether you should get another loan. My advice is try and avoid this and be prepared to get turned down; the credit is not flowing at the moment.See about lowering your living costs and reviewing your work.Good luck with studies.h2h :)K

Can I shop order online through a shared credit card account

I have a shared credit card account with my dad (Im almost 16). Can I order online through eBay and stuff with it, or will my dad have to make the payments? Thanks.
Answer1:Well, you can order, but you should tell your dad you are going to use it and how much you are charging. And, you my friend are the one who will be paying for it.

What39;s the soonest an overdraft can come through

technically i should have one now anyway as my card should be upgraded, but does anyone know how long it takes once sort of, applying?or does it come into action straight away?
Answer1:it works straight away as soon as its agreed! x
Answer2:Depends on your bank and what kind of account you have. Some will do the application over the phone and apply it to your account the same day. But if it has to go to underwriting it can take around 5 working days. Phone your bank and ask ;)
Answer3:Phone up your bank and they will be able to give you a precise answer.

WILL EBAYERS ACCEPT INSTANT BANK TRANSFER

HiI have finnished my account on paypal and they are sending me my money from my bank, but its gna take 7 -9 days =[ will ebay sellers accept Instant bank transfer? and send the item to my desired postal address on ebay?many thanks.Joseph
Answer1:All down to the individual person. Youll just have to ask each person you want to buy from.
Answer2:some will, but most dont like to do that and it isnt recommended by the ebay people so you could find it difficult
Answer3:Youll have to ask the individual concerned. Some people are reluctant to give out their bank account details. Be aware that you have very little protection when you pay someone by bank transfer, so be sure you can trust the individual you are sending money to.
Answer4:Some will and others wont. I would ask the seller before bidding on an item.. or see if they accept cheques or postal orders (it will say on the listing) as a back up.
Answer5:It depends on the seller. In that situation it is very risky for the buyer. If they dont send it, there is almost nothing you can do. Police wont do anything. You could only take them to court if they dont send.Just add a credit card to paypal. CC is the safest way to pay anyway because you have s75 CC protection in addition to Paypal protection.

If I buy investment property for 14K will I still be entitled to the $15,000 tax credit for 2009 homebuyers

Would that be like getting property for free?
Answer1:I believe its either 10% or the 15K (up to).And it hasent passed yet.And.... ITS A LOAN that you have to pay back./
Answer2:It is not $15,000 tax credit. It is a $7500 tax credit based on your income. If your adjusted gross income is over $75,000 IRS starts deducting from the $7500. You must be a first time home buyer and purchased your main home(one you are living in) in a certain time period). You must use 1040 tax form and you can either claim it on 2008 taxes or 2009 taxes. It is a loan payable over 15 years and you start paying iit back two years after you get it for 15 years @ $500 a year with no interest. You can go to IRS.gov and pull up the publication for 1st time homebuyers tax credit and it will give you all the details.

Fraud I had £650 taken from my account today How long until I get it back

I had £650 taken from my account by a company called expedia.co.uk. I have never heard of them until now. I have called my bank and the police are going to get involved if this is not a mistake. I will have to contact everyone who has my banking detail, ie Paypal, payroll dept of my company. Either way how long will it take to get my money back? Am I entitled to compensation? If I sue for compensation who would be to blame? Has anyone else had a sililar experience.
Answer1:It might take 5 or 6 months until you get it back.By the way I once got robbed.
Answer2:How long it takes depends on how fast the bank can pinpoint the error, can take upto a year but in most cases usually within a month or two. They themselves how to investigate your claim and will try to get back any money taken before given it back to you.
Answer3:2 to 4 weeks or ask the bank to up yer overdraft more to cover the 650 thats what i did
Answer4:The bank will be able to tell you. When I had to get some money back once, albeit a lot less than that, from a scammie company, it took a month.
Answer5:depends if you suffered a financial loss because of the spurious payment. contact bank to ensure all direct debits and outstanding cheques will be honoured and you will not incur charges if exceeding any prearranged limits get this confirmed in writing asap.sounds like either someone has your bank details or i think more likely the bank has ****** up a payment give them grief if they drag there heels i find going to branch and complaining in bank not a private room seems to hurry things along good luck
Answer6:Bad luck, I had a friend who had £3K pinched from his account, it took 2 months for him to get the money back.

Do you get a refund if your application has be unsuccessful

I do have a checking account but I need to pay my rent and other bills, and dont have 14 days for the bank to make the funds available.
Answer1:Ask the bank if you deposit the check will checks you write on it be bounced or if the hold s just for cash withdrawals. If that is on the check then you will have to deposit it somewhere.

Question about pensions

The company I worked for is located in ind.I get monthly pension from bank of new york.If company goes under or bankrupt,Will I keep pension or lose it?
Answer1:That is something only you can discover. You need to call HR and ask if the pension plan is part of the company or a separate entity. The majority of plans are owned and operated by the issuing company. When the company fails the pension plans also disappear.Smart companies have set up their pension plan as a separate entity with no ties to the company. this was done back in the 1970s when Money Men raided a company, bought it and strip it of its assets. The main asset of many floundering companies was their pension plan.

Is selling my old jewelry a good way to make some cash

My husband and I are hurting for money (just like everyone else). I was thinking about selling some of my jewelry since I dont wear most of it. Should I go to a jeweler, a pawn shop, or where? Also how do I go about selling it? I have never done this before. The faster we can get the money, the better.
Answer1:get a divorce and get a real man
Answer2:i would get the pieces appraised before going anywhere to see how much you could get for them. and cash for gold is a really bad choice, in case you didnt see last nights inside edition. i think i remember inside edition saying they had info on their website.
Answer3:I think Id personally go to a jeweller.
      Answer4:of course you can
Answer5:No they will not going to give you anything for your jewelry. You can try taking it to a pawn shop but you will be very disappointed. And the cash for gold thing they will send you a check after they get your jewelry and you have no choice if you do not want the check and want the jewelry back.
Answer6:DONT use cash 4 gold find a jewlery expert

How do you get rich and live like this

I cant see how some people are soo wealthy. I know this guy who lives in a really nice neighborhood his house is like over 1 mil. I DREAM of living like that. Being able to give my kids anything they want because you have so much bank. What kind of wise career choices would there be to live big?
Answer1:googleforbes list of richest peopleyou will see that a lot of them have degrees from Harvard Business School.Luck is opportunity waiting for the moment of your education preparation./
Answer2:stock broking, investment banking, entrepreneurship, sports star, lottery, there are loads of ways to do it, doing it is the hard part though.
Answer3:75% of people who live like that in the US inherited their money. So go pick a better set of parents. 8^)Of the rest, your best bet is to graduate from an Ivy League university in the top 5% of your class, in a field like medicine, law, or finance. Then work your butt off and rise up the hierarchy. Make some good contacts, then get some investors and start your own firm. But it depends not just on hard work but also on luck.We have a very persistent myth in the US that anyone who works hard enough can get rich. While it does take hard work, it also takes a certain amount of luck. It means not just going to the right college but also the right high school and elementary school. So you still would be much better off if you were born well-off so you could get good schooling when you were young.
Answer4:To get rich I think you can either:* Choose a career path and stick with it so by the time you retire you have plenty of money if you spend wisely and invest. Thats possible with any job that has upward mobility where you can eventually get the position right above you. Trouble with that is it takes too long.* Come up with something new or a new way to use something old. Reaching customers is no longer that hard in the 21st century, its more what you have to offer them. Facebook is really Myspace made user-friendly. Wikipedia is really Encarta Encyclopedia but free and organic. Add to that list YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter: they dont even charge for their services but get their money from advertisement.* Inherit or marry into money :)
Answer5:Ways you can get rich:1. Become a high paid person (doctor, lawyer, banker, fund manager (sucks now)).2. save cash and invest it in real estates (best thing to do now).3. Marry someone wealthy.4. Invent something or become a star (sports, entertainment etc).In my area almost every single house is over 1 million dollar so its not really upper class. You can afford such house, and have a fine life with around 4-5 million dollar (net worth) or a constant income of around 300K a year.
Answer6:Its not just what kind of job you have that makes you rich. A large part of it is how you handle your money. If you talk to someone who made their millions in steads of inheriting it theyll probably tell you it took time and effort..... like living under their means for a while. So get rid of your debts, save money and invest. Take a financial class like Dave Ramseys "Finance Peace" . Its not just for people who have huge debt. He had millions, lost it all and gained it back over time with the same techniques he teaches. Now hes a multimillionaire. Its worth looking into

Will he be able to withdraw cash if overdrawn

Hi, My boyfriend has an arranged Overdraft with Natwest, we only set it up last month so his wages would be able to be taken out and his overdraft extended etc, and he has to pay £74 a month to clear the O/D. Im stuck in the snow at my parents, and he needs £20, so if I put it in his account would it let him withdraw it tomorrow, because it says NIL available today, but the bank have not asked for the arranged £74 yet or taken it this month at all? Have they forgotten? I dont want to waste £20 if it eats it straight away. On the other hand, he IS within the arranged limit! Please help!
      Answer1:call the bank instead
Answer2:Normaly if you have overdraft you can go over this arranged limit once , but they will charge you for it , I was with lloyds tsb and they would let me go over my arranged limit by about £30 , but they do charge you about £20 for doing this......

What is the best way to makew money

Please take it seriously and answer iti want to marry the one i love with one 2 years...and i need to buy w a house and a car as soon as possible
Answer1:I’m the owner of DandS Netservices, a company in web development, logo-design and online marketing. Before I answer your question you really should realize that there’s no such thing as “getting rich quick”. If there was…anyone with a pc and internet connection would be a millionaire. What you really should be asking yourself here is...are you willing to spend a couple of hours of work everyday? Are you the one thats willing to put in that extra 5% that will separate you from the rest? In other words...are you a winners type? If not, well sorry but you will never make a single dollar online. There isnt such a thing as "getting rich easy and quick" in fact, 95 % of all the people who are trying to make money online, fail! And why is that? The #1 reason is that theyre not getting the support they need from their sponsors. If you join a particular program to make money online, you really should join through someone who knows what online marketing is all about and can help you setting up your campaign in order to recruit people and promote your business. Before joining a program, contact him and try to find out what he can do for you after you signed up. I’m in the online business for more than 5 years now and have been able to build a residual income through MLM and affiliate marketing. Was it easy? No! Our company invested in marketing courses, E-books, online training, personal development seminars, internet marketing seminars and so on. We spend more than 4 years researching and practicing all the techniques and strategies there are! So now we can honestly say that we know what we are talking about and that we can help people to make money online. There are many ways to do business over the internet, you can join a MLM program, you can sell your own products (like E-books) online or just be an affiliate (than you sell someone elses products and earn a percentage). We do a combination of these things and are learning people how to do the same FOR FREE! If you want to join a MLM program, I can recommend you GDI. (Global Domains International. We have joined GDI now for only 2 months and have already 500 people in our down-line and it grows every day! You make $1 every month per person that you can bring in and that for 5 levels deep! For every 5 people you refer per week, you will earn a $100 bonus, 10 - $200 and so on. From the 500 people in our down-line, weve only recruited 50 ourselves, but still are making 500$ every month and that only after 2 months in the system! That’s just because we are learning people, who join through us, the right strategies and techniques to recruit other people and we dot it for free! If you want to know more about GDI, just check the link at the bottom and watch the video or just send me an email with any questions you might have. My email address : mail@nicksecurio.com

Husband and wife how much money can be deposited for full fdic coverage in a bank

If it is solely you and your wife on your account then you will be covered up to $500,000 (250k per person). You could also be covered up to 250k per beneficiary PER person so if you and your wife have an account together with 3 beneficiares then you would be covered up to $1,500,000 (3 ben x 250k for each person). Keep in mind that at the end of this year (2009) that the amounts MAY go back down to 100k per person. The government will decided whether to extend the higher amounts or let them expire and go back to the normal 100k amounts. MAKE SURE you factor that in. The only reason they went to 250k is what is going on with the economy and banks and they wanted peoples money secure and wanted them to be confident to invest their money in the financial system.
Answer1:The PERMANENT FDIC coverage limit is $100,000 per person per bank. The $250,000 limit is TEMPORARY and scheduled to expire Dec 31, 2009.

Whats the most cost effective to turn the store credit into cash without losing too much money? The department store also sells furniture and white goods.
Answer1:maybe if you put the name of the store. that might help. in finding a loophole for that.as stores tend to vary in their policies.
