i just got discharged from filing chapter 7...im still waiting for the foreclosure process on my home. i just got my taxes done and was able to get a return...would it be illegal if i tried to save my home now? since i filed bankruptcy? and the foreclosure is not complete?
Answer1:Hey girl...Call the attorney to see if you can amend the bankruptcy. I would need more information...Did you sign a re affirmation agreement to keep paying on the loan....In a chapter 7, if you chose to re affirm on the loan, you would have had to have been current on the loan. If you included it in the bankruptcy, you may still be able to amend it, but you would still have to be up to date on payments. Call your attorney and get more information on this. You may still be able to do something before its too late. Good Luck!!
